As we head into the dog days of Summer, we’re dropping by your inbox to check in on those glow-up goals ☀️

And we aren’t talking tans and travel plans (though those are pretty important, too) – we’re talking about all of those lingering ‘I wish I could’ goals 👀

In case you don’t know where this is going, allow us to cut to the chase: with no-code skills on your toolbelt, what once felt impossible quickly becomes ‘watch me.’

Get ready for lift-off, no-code voyagers! This week, we’re launching into the news, tips, and tutorials you need to navigate no-code with ease.

Let’s get into it 🚀

The Latest No-Code News

Anyone in the no-code atmosphere knows that no-code is stepping into the limelight. Here are some exciting updates propelling this industry forward:

👉 Leading no-code platform Figma recently hosted Config 2023, and didn’t hold back from releasing a slew of exciting updates throughout the annual conference. The new slate of powerhouse features blends design and development even further, with new components including:

  • Dev Mode, a new space for developers
  • Variables
  • Advanced prototyping
  • Auto layout updates
  • Font picker
  • File browser redesign

👉 To see this suite come to life, you have to see how developer Dave Williams leveraged them to build a fully functioning version of Flappy Bird. As you’d expect, he did it code-free 💪

👉 Plus, Figma used the conference to address the elephant in the room: AI. They proudly previewed what they call ‘the future of Figma,’ which will eventually implement AI directly into the platform – watch the vid here!

👉 Oh, and if you’re a fan of niche tool developer Diagram, it’s worth noting that Figma also announced an acquisition of the trending company. Here’s a demo of the incoming integration!

👉 Outside of the wide world of Figma, we’re fascinated by an announcement from AWS about their brand-new no-code service AppFabric. The AI-powered service is designed to simplify SaaS integration for enterprises with powerful observability and low operating costs. If you’re one of 1.45 million businesses using AWS, be sure to check it out.

The No-Code Tool of the Week: Glide

When it comes to app development, few no-code tools reign higher than Glide. If you’re extremely into data but can’t quite nail the design element, you’ll love Glide’s easy UX tools. If you’re a design geek but need to level up your analytics, you’ll love learning the data ropes with Glide’s business data syncing.

Here’s why the platform is so popular across professions:

👉 Glide enables users to launch apps within minutes

👉 Glide is all about beautiful, aesthetically-driven design

👉 Glide only needs you to fill out a spreadsheet (no actual code) to get your app up and running

👉 Glide is powered by 100s of ready-to-go templates for a wide range of use cases, and it’s easy to clone and reuse them

👉 Glide integrates with the apps you already use on a daily basis

The only major downside of the platform is its somewhat limited customization capacity, but the existing design elements are so attractive, we have a feeling you won’t mind.

Been telling yourself you can’t launch that startup because you don’t have the resources to build an app? Well, now you have two options: find another excuse, or just go ahead and do it with Glide!
